Role Description

The Missile Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and refining missile components and systems, with a focus on performance, reliability, and safety. Day-to-day activities include creating and reviewing detailed engineering drawings, performing design calculations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and using CAD tools to model mechanical and electrical aspects of missile systems. The role also involves participating in design reviews, supporting prototype builds and testing, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in El Paso, TX, requiring close coordination with local engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with experience in Design Engineering for complex systems.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling, drafting, and design documentation.
• Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles as they apply to integrated missile systems.
• Experience in Product Design, including concept development, prototyping, and iteration based on test results.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and test data, and translate them into design improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and willingness to work on-site in El Paso, TX.
