  • Experience with data governance, modeling & simulation, and analysis.

This role will perform engineering and mission-level analysis to assess and improve missile defense system performance across the full kill chain, including sensors, command and control, communications, and weapon systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering and mission‑level analysis of missile defense capabilities and system performance.
  • Support end‑to‑end kill‑chain analysis across sensors, tracking, C2, communications, fire control, and weapon systems.
  • Evaluate missile defense problems from sensor, C2BMC, and fires perspectives to understand impacts across the broader MDS.
  • Analyze simulation, test, and system data to identify performance trends, limitations, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and evaluate alternative approaches to improve kill‑chain performance, resilience, and mission effectiveness.
  • Support modeling, simulation, experimentation, and test activities involving current and future missile defense capabilities.
  • Work across technical disciplines to investigate complex system and system‑of‑systems problems.
  • Develop and communicate technical findings and recommendations to Government customers and engineering stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements And Desired Skillsets
  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills applied in professional settings.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑focused environment.
  • Experience using MATLAB.
  • Experience supporting missile defense, integrated air & missile defense, or other complex defense systems.
  • Familiarity with MDA and the Missile Defense System (MDS).
  • Technical experience in radar/sensors/tracking, C2BMC, fire control/weapons, modeling & simulation, mission analysis, or test & evaluation.
  • Experience with system‑of‑systems, kill‑chain, or engagement‑level analysis.
  • Experience using Python or similar engineering/data‑analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical communication skills.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata, and data‑quality processes.
  • Experience with cloud technology, CI/CD, machine learning, AI, DevSecOps controls, or microservice/service‑mesh architectures.
  • Travel up to 10%, required.
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain the designated clearance level.
Physical Description

Employees in these positions will function primarily at customer sites, field locations, and test ranges, with periodic work in office and laboratory settings. They will use standard office equipment, computers, hand tools, and electronic test equipment to set up, operate, maintain, and repair fielded systems. They will collaborate with customers, operators, maintainers, and internal engineering teams, produce service and status reports, and communicate information effectively.

These positions require frequent travel, potentially including extended deployments to remote or austere locations, and may involve working outdoors for full days in varying weather conditions. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective footwear may be required. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to support fielded system availability.
