Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Missile Defense System Mission Engineer/Analyst to join a team supporting missile defense analysis, experimentation, and test & evaluation at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, a BS in engineering or related field, 5+ years of relevant experience, an active DoD Secret clearance, and strong analytical and communication skills. Onsite with 0–10% travel; schedule M-F 8–5.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and a BS in engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of relevant missile defense, analysis, or systems engineering experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Experience with MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and mission-level analysis of missile defense capabilities.
• Support end-to-end kill-chain analysis across sensors, C2BMC, and weapons.
• Evaluate problems from sensor, C2BMC, and fires perspectives.
• Develop and communicate technical findings to Government customers.

Torch Technologies is seeking a Missile Defense System Mission Engineer/Analyst to join a team supporting missile defense analysis, experimentation, and test & evaluation. This position supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) through advanced technology projects conducted at the Torch‑led Collaborative Test and Evaluation Center (CTEC).

As a Missile Defense System Mission Engineer/Analyst, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

• Perform engineering and mission‑level analysis of missile defense capabilities and system performance.
• Support end‑to‑end kill‑chain analysis across sensors, tracking, C2, communications, fire control, and weapon systems.
• Evaluate missile defense problems from sensor, C2BMC, and fires perspectives to understand impacts across the broader MDS.
• Analyze simulation, test, and system data to identify performance trends, limitations, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and evaluate alternative approaches to improve kill‑chain performance, resilience, and mission effectiveness.
• Support modeling, simulation, experimentation, and test activities involving current and future missile defense capabilities.
• Work across technical disciplines to investigate complex system and system‑of‑systems problems.
• Develop and communicate technical findings and recommendations to Government customers and engineering stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Active DoW Secret clearance
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills applied in professional settings
• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑focused environment
• Experience using MATLAB

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
• Experience supporting missile defense, integrated air & missile defense, or other complex defense systems
• Familiarity with MDA and the Missile Defense System (MDS)
• Technical experience in radar/sensors/tracking, C2BMC, fire control/weapons, modeling & simulation, mission analysis, or test & evaluation
• Experience with system‑of‑systems, kill‑chain, or engagement‑level analysis
• Experience using Python or similar engineering/data‑analysis tools
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical communication skills
• Experience with data governance, metadata, and data‑quality processes
• Experience with cloud technology, CI/CD, machine learning, AI, DevSecOps controls, or microservice/service‑mesh architectures
