Job summary

Mercedes Benz U.S. International in Alabama is seeking a Missile Assembly Technician III.

You will perform duties across electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical areas, using schematics and drawings to assemble, calibrate, test, and maintain equipment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with technical training equivalent to an Associate degree and 3+ years of experience; DoD Secret Clearance preferred and obtainable.

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training equivalent to an Associate degree.
• 3+ years of experience in related technical/para-engineering tasks.
• U.S. DoD Secret Clearance preferred, must have ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment and systems.
• Work from schematics, engineering drawings and instructions.
• Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and multimeters for daily work.
• Perform mixing of chemicals, adhesives, and compounds per SOP or specifications.
• Ensure safety compliance using SDS.

Overview

Missile Assembly Technician III

Starting Salary Range: $59,000+ (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Duties

• Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Utilize basic hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and multi-meters to perform daily standard work.
• Performs mixing of chemicals, adhesives, and compounds using a standard operating procedure or specification.
• Ensure safety compliance using Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Requirements

• High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 3 Years or more of experience.
• U.S. DoD Secret Clearance preferred, must have the ability to obtain.
