Bobrick is seeking a mirror assembler to join a team focused on efficient assembly and packaging of B-165 and B-166 mirrors. You will follow instructions, use hand tools, and maintain safety and quality standards.
The role emphasizes hand-eye coordination, adherence to production flow, and collaboration with teammates to meet efficiency goals while handling crates, pallets, and final inspections. Shift: Mon–Fri, 6:00 pm–2:30 am; pay is $18.40/hr.
Reports to the Mirror Factory Supervisor and works under close direction of the department lead person. Performs all operations needed to assemble and pack B-165 and B-166 series mirrors. Must be able to follow verbal instructions in English and function in a team-oriented, continuously improving environment where safety is the #1 priority. Recognizes and reports defective parts. Replenishes station with small supplies as needed and alerts the lead/material handler when in need of glass, cages or crates.

Works in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and all Employee Relations policies provided. Reports all safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor, lead or safety representative immediately; documents them in writing.
Takes responsibility for the quality of his/her own work and for the quality of the work produced by the team. Performs all required quality checks during the assembly process and reports all defects found on a multi-use form. Ensures finished products meet blueprint specifications.
Works as a productive member of the team and meets the team efficiency goal of 95-105%. Uses all hand tools (pneumatic staplers, screw drivers and gluers), pallet jacks and other equipment as needed. Counts and records inventory if required.
Completes the following tasks to assemble and pack B-165 and B-166 series mirrors:
Has the ability to follow verbal instructions in English and asks the supervisor or lead for instructions on duties when in doubt.
Follows flow manufacturing principles and rules of engagement specific to each cell. Keeps non-value added activities to a minimum. Minimizes set-up time, scrap and waste. Follows housekeeping parameters to maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Interacts with fellow employees in a professional manner and assists others in the department as required, including lifting and handling mirrors. Uses the pallet jack to move mirrors on A-frames, carts and pallets. Takes care of all equipment used.
Every 6 months, submits a minimum of 1 suggestion for departmental improvement with regards to safety, quality or process.
Reads production guides to determine requirements of production assignment.
Performs any other duties assigned by lead or supervisor.
