ABOVE & BEYOND NANNY SERVICES INC is seeking a warm, proactive Household Manager / Family Assistant in Minneapolis. This part-time role supports busy parents Monday–Friday, 2pm–6pm, to keep the home running smoothly and create more quality time with the children.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, takes initiative, and can manage meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping, and evening routines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle family laundry, organize and maintain common areas.
• Maintain a tidy, orderly home and rotate seasonal clothes as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping such as kitchen resets and vacuuming high-traffic areas.
• Support family during dinner and evening transitions to create a calm environment.

Overview

We are a busy, dual-working-parent family seeking a warm, proactive, and highly organized Household Manager / Family Assistant to support our home and evening routine during the workweek.

Our primary goal is to create more quality time with our children by having a reliable partner who can keep the household running smoothly behind the scenes. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys creating order, helping families thrive, and taking initiative in a home environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Meal Preparation

• Prepare healthy, family-friendly dinners and occasional meal prep/planning for the week.


• Manage kitchen organization, monitor grocery needs, and keep mealtime running smoothly.


• Handle light meal/snack prep for the children as needed.

Laundry & Household Organization

• Manage family laundry (washing, folding, organizing, and putting away).


• Maintain organization in common areas to keep the home tidy and functional.


• Anticipate organizational needs (e.g., rotating seasonal clothes, organizing pantries).

Light Housekeeping

• Execute a kitchen reset after meals (unloading/loading dishwasher, wiping counters).


• Tidy toys, school bags, and shared living spaces.


• Perform light upkeep such as vacuuming high-traffic areas.


• Note: We are not looking for a deep cleaner or heavy housekeeper, but rather someone who takes pride in maintaining an orderly, peaceful home.

Evening Family Support

• Support the family during dinner and evening transitions.


• Assisting with the children as needed so parents can be fully present and engaged.


• Help create a calm, organized environment during the busiest part of the day.

• Dinner is handled or well underway by the time the evening rush begins.
