Responsibilities

• Performs the planning, execution and supervision of the Good News Club ministry within the Tidewater Chapter.
• Aggressively pursues the start of Good News Clubs by following up with church contacts generated by District Team Leaders.
• Oversees the GNC ministry within the Tidewater Chapter through church partnerships.
• Recruits qualified church volunteers to teach in GNCs.
• Assists in training for the GNC program and ensures activity reports are forwarded monthly to the local director’s office.
• Attends state meetings as assigned by the state director.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs the planning, execution and supervision of the Good News Club® ministry, within the Tidewater Chapter. This person should be able to plan and analyze, demonstrate organizational skills and motivate people. This person should also have very good interpersonal skills to work with church pastors and members, as well as coordinate work with the Chapter’s District Team Leaders.
• Fulfilling the purpose and mission of Child Evangelism Fellowship® with excellence.
• Works 15 – 25 hours per week.
• Executing and accomplishing the plans and objectives of the State Board.
• Overseeing all Good News Club ministry within the assigned area of opportunities open for ministry.
• Following the policies and procedures of the national and state organization.

SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Local Coordinator shall demonstrate a balanced approach to Christian living in:

• A daily walk with God
• The family
• The local church
• The ministry

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Aggressively pursues the start of Good News Clubs (GNCs), one of the primary ministries of CEF® by following-up with church contacts primarily generated by District Team Leaders and ministry partners.
2. Establishes & oversees the GNC ministry within the Tidewater Chapter through church partnerships.
3. Expands the ministry through raising financial support to ultimately equate to 96% of his/her wages.
4. Works with District Team Leaders in recruiting qualified church volunteers to teach in GNCs.
5. Assists in a consistent training program for GNC program.
6. Ensure that all activity reports are forwarded to the local director’s office by the 4th of the month for the month prior.
7. Attends State meetings assigned by the state director.
8. Performs other duties as assigned by the local or state director.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
