Job summary

Midway Baptist Church in Midway, KY is seeking a Children’s Minister to lead weekly worship for preschool and elementary children during the 11:00 service, coordinate volunteers, curate curriculum, and prepare materials for teaching sessions.

You will oversee special activities such as the Easter Egg Hunt and Vacation Bible School, collaborate with the Senior Pastor on events, and report at monthly business meetings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, conduct, and evaluate a weekly Children’s Worship for preschool and elementary school children coinciding with the 11:00 worship service
• Manage a rotation of volunteers each week to assist in Children’s Worship
• Prepare worship curriculum needs and provide materials for volunteers
• Secure resources and supplies for Children’s Worship and lead in song and story
• Oversee specialty Children’s activities such as Easter Egg Hunt and Vacation Bible School
• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor on Children’s events
• Attend and report to the monthly business meeting

Minister of Children

• 1. Prepare, conduct, and evaluate a weekly Children’s Worship for preschool and elementary school children coinciding with the 11:00 worship service

  c. Provide background and prep materials for Children’s Worship volunteers
  d. Secure physical resources and supplies necessary for conducting Children’s Worship
  e. Lead in song and story for Children’s worship
• 2. Give direction to, oversee, and participate in specialty Children’s activities, such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, etc.
• 3. Work with the Senior Pastor to collaborate on Children’s events.
• 4. Attend and report to the monthly business meeting.
