Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is hiring an entry-level Warehouse Technician to support the Nevada operations in daily warehousing tasks. You will count, verify, and inspect freight against documentation and load freight using a forklift and other machinery, with precision and attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities include data entry, discrepancy reporting, forklift operation, inventory cycle counts, and coordination of material movements.

Qualifications

• Warehousing background in mining preferred.
• Minimum one year of warehousing experience preferred.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts required.
• Ability to work underground may be required.
• Receiving and/or Accounts Payable invoice reconciliation experience preferred.
• Demonstrated computer experience required.
• Experience using SAP and barcoding preferred.
• Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Complete discrepancy reports and data entry from receiving documentation.
• Operate forklifts with 4,000 to 55,000 lb capacity.
• Count, weigh, measure and inspect materials against documentation.
• Respond to emergency requirements and equipment breakdowns.
• Receive materials and supplies by carrier and company trucks; document appropriately.
• Record and compare quantity of material received with vendor documentation.
• Assist personnel in identifying required material using the computer system.
• Perform daily cycle counts and coordinate inventory corrections.
• Handle materials safely and use appropriate safety gear.
• Order materials using the computer system.
• Stage remote issue requests for dispersal to users.
• Demonstrate effective housekeeping in the work area.
• Issue materials to operating groups as requested.
• Operate a computer and other office equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
