Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Mining Technology & Change Consultant for the MineStar product family to lead technology implementations at customer mine sites, uniting people, processes and technology to transform mining operations.

You will own the implementation from planning through deployment, working directly with mining customers, dealers, and cross-functional teams, and travel across North America to drive measurable operational change.

Qualifications

• Experience working at mine sites or within mining operations, with an understanding of operational environments and customer needs.
• Strong aptitude for technology and the ability to quickly understand complex technical solutions.
• Experience working with mining technology, OT, fleet management, autonomy, or related systems.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, risk management, stakeholder management, and ownership of outcomes.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to mining customers and guide them through technology implementation and change.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead MineStar technology implementations at customer mine sites, coordinating activities from planning through deployment.
• Serve as the key point of coordination for customers, dealers, and internal teams throughout the project.
• Partner with mining customers as a trusted consultant, understanding their operation, challenges, and site-specific needs.
• Lead change across people, processes, and technology to support adoption of MineStar solutions.
• Manage project scope, schedules, deliverables, risks, and overall implementation success.
• Understand MineStar solutions and the steps required to configure and implement systems per commercial requirements.
• Support customers and dealers with documentation, training, and functional specifications.
• Gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, including quoting and invoicing.
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve MineStar implementations across sites.

What You Will Do

Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work through technical, operational, and project challenges. Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic mine-site environments and make sound decisions to keep implementations moving forward.

Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with customers, dealers, and cross-functional teams. Ability to influence and lead through change, even when working with teams you do not directly manage. Strong collaboration skills with a customer-focused and solutions-oriented approach.

Additional Information:

This position requires the candidate to work full-time onsite at our Tucson, AZ, or Phoenix, AZ office.

Domestic relocation is available.

The position requires 25 – 50 % travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
