Job summary

Barminco, a leading underground mining services company, seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruitment across the United States and Canada from Denver. The role blends remote and in-office work, with travel to project sites to gain firsthand understanding of operations.

You will manage full-cycle recruitment for mining, skilled trades, and corporate roles, partnering with hiring managers and HR to build strong candidate pipelines and ensure timely onboarding and mobilization.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of dedicated recruitment experience.
• Experience in mining, construction, skilled trades, or heavy industrial operations preferred.
• Strong sourcing, screening, and interviewing skills, with experience supporting high-volume recruitment and hard-to-fill positions.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and HR colleagues.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Office, including Excel for recruitment tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, reference checks, offers, and coordination of pre-employment requirements.
• Partner with hiring managers and site HR to understand position requirements, establish hiring priorities, and support candidate selection.
• Proactively identify candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, direct outreach, employee referrals, and industry networks.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated vacancies, including high-volume and hard-to-fill roles.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates and hiring teams, providing timely updates and coordinating the transition to onboarding and mobilization.
• Participate in career fairs, community outreach, and industry events, and build relationships with schools, training providers, and employment organizations.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and prepare weekly and monthly reports using HRIS and Excel.
• Identify practical improvements to recruitment processes while maintaining confidentiality and following company policies and applicable employment requirements.
