Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern in mining for Summer 2027 to learn and apply safety programs across North America. You'll participate in developing site safety policies, monitor compliance, and assist in safety audits and trainings in field projects.

You'll relocate to project sites as needed, work with teams from craft to leadership, and support the Project Safety Program while gaining real-world construction management experience and a focus on zero incidents.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with basic MS Word/Excel recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
• Monitor construction activities for regulatory and company compliance.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and assist in safety audits and trainings.
