Job summary

Ledcor Group in the United States is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support mining operations in Idaho and Nevada. You will work on a fleet of haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators, keeping critical equipment safe and ready for the job.

The role emphasizes diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance to OEM standards, with emphasis on Cat, Hitachi, and Komatsu machines.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment repair in mining or heavy civil environments.
• Trade certification or technical training is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
• Experience with Cat, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment preferred.
• MSHA Part 48 (metal/non-metal) required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Repair and replace components to OEM standards for Cat, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment.
• Complete service records and communicate equipment status to operations teams.
• Work safely with tools and equipment following site safety procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanics and operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
