Job summary

BBA Consultants invites a seasoned Mineral Processing Leader to drive metallurgical design, process optimization and project leadership across study through commissioning phases. You’ll mentor engineers, support U.S. market growth, and guide client design strategies for heap leach and hydrometallurgical projects.

This role requires 15+ years in mineral processing, PE licensure in AZ/NV, and a proven track record with multidisciplinary teams and complex EPCM projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, chemical or process engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in mineral processing or extractive metallurgy in mining or EPCM.
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Experience supporting feasibility studies, due diligence, large EPCM or capital projects.
• Strong background in process modelling and simulation tools (JKSimMet, Molycop, LIMN, Bruno, Metsim).
• PE license in Arizona or Nevada is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and commissioning.
• Experience in heap leach systems is a plus, bilingual is an asset.

• Prepare design deliverables: mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, specs.
• Support proposals and client relationships for business development.
• Mentor junior engineers to grow team capabilities.

As a Mineral Processing Leader, you’ll provide technicalleadership and strategic direction for metallurgical and process designactivities across all project phases. You’ll oversee multidisciplinary teams,support project execution and ensure that processing solutions are optimizedfor performance, operability and cost efficiency.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our growth in theU.S. market, particularly in projects involving mineral processing, heap leachand hydrometallurgical processes. You’ll also occasionally visit client sites,support business development efforts and mentor junior engineers to supportteam growth.

Summary of certifications and jobrequirements

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, chemical or process engineering
• 15+ years of experience in mineral processing or extractive metallurgy within mining or EPCM environments
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects
• Experience supporting feasibility studies, due diligence work, large-scale EPCM or capital projects
• Strong background in process modelling and simulation tools (e.g. JKSimMet, Molycop, LIMN, Bruno, Metsim etc.)
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona, Nevada is mandatory
• Available for occasional to frequent travel (site visits, commissioning)
• Asset: strong experience in heap leach systems (gold, copper or similar)
• Asset: Bilingual (Spanish or French)
