Riot is seeking a Level 2 Miner Maintenance Technician at our Rockdale, TX facility to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on miners on site, and to compile reports for management. This on-site role requires strong problem-solving skills, independent work capability, and precise communication to support the Miner Maintenance Team.

You will lead in troubleshooting, manage inventory, and support R&D projects while working safely at heights and using lifts; staying compliant with OSHA

Responsabilidades

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on miners on site.
• Compile reports on non-hashing machines and commission new miner installations.
• Identify and report network outages to Supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools with checkout procedures.
• Track inventory for each building per compliance.
• Assist in R&D projects.
• Build heat maps of immersion tanks to diagnose overheating.
• Operate a scissor lift up to 20 feet to install miners.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the role

We are looking to add a Leve 2 Miner Maintenance Technicianto our growing Miner Maintenance Team.As aLevel 2 Miner Maintenance Technician,you will be responsible for the advanced diagnostics and repairs to all miners on site and compiling reports to share with management.This on-site position will directly support our Miner Maintenance Team at our Rockdale, TX facility.

What you'll be doing

• Perform advanced diagnostic and repair techniques to all miners on site to include diagnosing power supply-PSU’s, control board, perform firmware uploads – change the settings of miners, handle escalated board ticket repairs, perform diagnostics on power distribution units.
• Compile reports of all non-hashing machines in assigned area. Commission new miner installations.
• Identify and report all network outages to Assistant Supervisor.
• Assist in keeping inventory of parts and tools using a check out procedure.
• Take lead on tracking inventory of all assigned building in accordance with compliance.
• Assist in Research & Development projects.
• Build heat maps of immersion tanks to help diagnose overheating sections.
• Operate a scissor lift at heights up to 20 feet to install and maintain bitcoin miners.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What you'll have

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and production monitoring software.
• Basic knowledge and hands-on experience using tools such as multimeters, screwdrivers, test lights, box cutters, and wire cutters.
• Experience with computer troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair required.
• Experience troubleshooting basic networking issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve basic equipment and machine failures.

Physical requirements and work environment

• Must be physically able to climb ladders and access tight or awkward spaces as required.
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and pull, with good manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (75 Pounds)
• Ability to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.)
• Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures
