The candidate will oversee drill plans, supervise field teams, collect groundwater data, and model pore pressures to inform dewatering targets. A BS in Hydrogeology and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Hydrogeology or related field.
  • 3+ years in open pit hydrogeology.
  • Experience with pore pressure modeling software.
  • Ability to communicate groundwater data to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Identify targets for depressurization and monitoring for pit slope stability.
  • Prepare hydrogeology drill plans and budgets.
  • Supervise drillers, subcontractors and hydro consultants.
  • Collect and interpret surface and groundwater data.
  • Perform pore pressure modeling and document progress toward targets.
  • Design and maintain surface runoff catchment networks.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical engineers and mine planners.
