thyssenkrupp Polysius North America, Inc. is seeking a first shift setup welder in Milwaukee, WI. The role involves fitting and welding fabricated components into machinery frames, planetary coolers, round shells, and related fabrications using mild and stainless steel up to 5 inches thick.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, tolerances, welding symbols, performing flux core and submerged arc welding, and self-inspection while adhering to safety procedures and working overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2 years related experience or equivalent.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Set up components by layout, fitting, welding and cleaning to create finished weldments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and welding symbols.
• Perform flux core and submerged arc welding.
• Inspect own work for quality and safety.
• Operate overhead or jib cranes, forklifts, and various hand or power tools.
