Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a MILSATCOM Engineering Technician (ET) to support the STORMS contract at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. The role emphasizes operations and maintenance of DSCS/WGS satellite communications and RF systems, with a swing shift (1:45 PM–10:15 PM PST) and US citizenship required.

The technician collaborates with WSOCs and distant end terminals, documents activities, performs preventive maintenance, and adheres to safety and DoD regulations on federal installations.

Qualifications

• AA/Technical degree plus 3 years of experience (7 years of experience in lieu of degree) in DoD ops/maintenance.
• Interfacing with active-duty military and government personnel.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Comfortable with heights and Fall Arrest Systems.
• Able to work with hand tools.
• Qualified in use of electronic test equipment including telecom analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and digital multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations and maintenance on telecommunications equipment, RF systems, secure communications, and antenna/mechanical gear.
• Document operations, testing, troubleshooting in IMDS; manage spares inventories and reporting.
• Ascend/descend ladders on antenna towers up to 40+ feet; position self on equipment racks.
• Interact with WSOCs, distant end terminals, and users for circuit activations and configurations; perform decommissioning as needed.
• Work on energized electrical circuits and equipment as required.
