Job summary

SilverRide in Milpitas, CA is seeking independent contractor drivers to join our micro-transit initiative. You will use your own or leased minivan to provide safe, friendly rides during the specified morning and afternoon blocks.

Compensation is $29/hour with a $200 sign‑on bonus; weekly direct deposit is offered. Vehicles and credentialing are supported, with training and optional rental help for eligible drivers.

Qualifications

• Must use your own minivan or lease one; discounted rental available.
• CA driver’s license and clean driving record (≤2 minor violations in 3 years).
• Valid vehicle insurance and English fluency.
• 21+ years old with at least 3 years of licensed driving.
• Pass a background check; no felonies or DUI/DWIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide ride‑share transportation in Milpitas and surrounding area.
• Engage riders with safe, friendly interactions and conversations.
• Operate a minivan for zone entry to exit; adhere to schedules.
• Commit to M-F 6am‑9am and 2pm‑7pm blocks; maintain safety standards.
