Job summary

WK Industrial Services Corporation in the United States is seeking an Industrial Equipment Install & Rigging Trainee to begin a millwright career. You’ll learn on the job while supporting installation, alignment, and maintenance of conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and automated systems.

This role emphasizes hands-on practice with rigging, blueprint reading, safety protocols, and daily tool use as you travel and work with experienced millwrights to become fully trained in the trade.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn the millwright trade.
• 3 years of experience in mechanical, construction, industrial, or related work.
• Comfort with basic hand and power tools.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime/weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and precision alignment of conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and automated systems.
• Measure, cut, drill, and prep materials; route/install shafts, bearings, belts, and chains.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and help with preventive maintenance.
• Assist with equipment tear-downs, rebuilds, and repairs under senior guidance.
• Learn rigging and equipment handling using cranes, forklifts, hoists, and load-balancing techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints/layouts; verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Follow OSHA, company, and customer safety protocols; wear PPE; participate in safety meetings and LOTO.
• Care for hand tools and precision instruments; record daily hours and tasks; keep site organized.
