Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a Millwright/Maintenance Technician for our Lincoln, California sawmill. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and fabricating parts as needed.

Flexibility for varying shifts and overtime is expected. Qualified candidates will have 2 years of related experience, welding and tool-use skills, and knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, and bearings.

Qualifikationen

• 2 years recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
• Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings.
• Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects.
• Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Maintain and repair mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate causes of malfunctions, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality.
• Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation.
• Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck.
• Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed.
• Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area.
• Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times.

Currently, we are seeking a qualified Millwright/Maintenance Technician for our sawmill in Lincoln, California.

About the Position

• Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility
• Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
