Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a swing shift Millwright to maintain and repair mechanical systems in our Centralia, Washington sawmill. You will troubleshoot, install, and repair equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, dismantle and replace parts, and fabricate components as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
• Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings.
• Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices.
• Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality.
• Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation.
• Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck.
• Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed.
• Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area.
• Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times.

Earn $32.70 to $39.53 per hour

Currently, we are seeking a qualified swing shift Millwright to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Centralia, Washington.

About The Position

• Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility
