Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking a skilled Millwright to install, repair, replace and dismantle heavy equipment in industrial settings in Decatur, IL. You will follow blueprints, align machinery, and test mechanical operation, ensuring precise tolerances and safe operation.

Responsibilities include assembling components, moving machinery with hoists and dollies, and performing routine maintenance as part of a collaborative team. EI safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Experience with aligning, repairing and assembling industrial machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts and adjust clearances and alignments.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, squares and micrometers.
• Connect power units and test mechanical operation.
• Repair, lubricate and assemble equipment.
• Move machinery and assemble on foundations using hand/power tools.
