Job summary

Worley is seeking a helper to support an industrial construction/maintenance crew. The role focuses on basic rigging, pipe and conduit threading, material handling, and tool use in a hands-on environment. You will assist mechanics, help with assembly and demolition, and contribute to upkeep of the job site. This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and practical trade skills at a site in Louisiana.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with fire protection, metals, bearings, seals, pumps, gearboxes, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic rigging and assembly tasks.
• Thread metal pipe and conduit as required.
• Cut pipe, conduit, metal, and wood per specs.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts and light trucks.
• Use basic and power tools with proper care.
• Assist mechanics in assembly, demolition, and cleanup.
• Maintain building and ground areas.

Position Summary

Responsible for executing helper duties to assist assigned crew.

Primary Responsibilities

• Basic rigging, come-along, etc.
• Thread metal pipe, conduit
• Cut pipe, conduit, metal, wood
• Material handling
• Fork truck and pickup truck driving
• Use basic tools and care of the tools
• Use of hand electric power tools and pneumatic tools
• Assist mechanics in assembly and work performance, demolition, cleaning, removing debris
• Building and ground maintenance
• Additional responsibilities not listed may be required

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience
• Knowledge of fire protecting, different types of metals, bearings, mechanical seals, tandem seals, compression packing, multi-stage pumps, vertical pumps, different types of drive coupling, cooling tower fan units, gearboxes and agitators
