Job summary

SF Metalworks in Colusa, CA is seeking a skilled Millwright / Facilities Technician to install, align, and maintain production machinery as the shop grows. The role involves diverse duties from framing walls to repairing equipment and moving heavy assets, with emphasis on safety and problem-solving.

The position requires 3+ years of relevant experience, weld­ing, rigging, and the ability to read blueprints. Schedule is Monday–Friday, onsite, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in millwright/industrial maintenance or heavy equipment installation in manufacturing/fabrication.
• Strong understanding of mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Welding, cutting, basic machining proficiency.
• Experience with alignment, rigging, and reading blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, level, dismantle, and reassemble industrial machinery and heavy equipment.
• Maintain and improve preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
• Rig, move, and position machinery with cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
• Maintain maintenance logs and work orders.
