Job summary

Merric Millwork and Seating in Missouri is seeking a Millwork Engineer to translate finalized shop drawings into manufacturing documents and CNC programs for production.

You will develop 2D AutoCAD shop drawings from architectural/interior designs, create machine code using AutoCAD, Microvellum and SolidWorks/SWOOD, and ensure As-Built drawings match plans. Candidates need 5+ years in millwork engineering and strong AWI knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of millwork engineering experience
• Extensive knowledge of cabinetry, furniture, and custom millwork
• Strong understanding of AWI standards and guidelines
• Experience with CNC manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Create CNC & Saw programs and construction documents using AutoCAD, Microvellum, and SolidWorks/SWOOD.
• Ensure As-Built drawings match construction plans.
• Develop detailed millwork design plans considering aesthetics and function.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet design intent and project goals.
• Compile material take-offs for shop production.
• Maintain high accuracy for cut-lists and millwork elements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technologies.
• Ensure project schedules, deadlines, and budgets are met.
• Communicate production requirements to the manufacturing team.
• Solve millwork challenges independently to keep projects on track.
• Assist in development/maintenance of engineering standards.
• Background checks and drug screens may be conducted on offer recipients.
