Digifabshop in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced CNC Router operator for a full-time onsite role. You will set up milling operations, run CNC Routers, verify parts to drawings, and maintain strict safety practices on the shop floor.

The position requires reading shop drawings, precise measurement, and reliable teamwork. A physically capable candidate with strong math and inspection skills will thrive in a fast-paced environment with competitive benefits.

Responsabilités

• Move and stage workpieces on tables, manually or with a vacuum lift.
• Manage tool changes and setup for CNC Router operations.
• Verify milled components against specs using measurements and visuals.
• Study milling instructions and shop drawings for sequencing and tooling.
• Set cutting speeds, feeds, depths and tools per instructions.
• Monitor CNC operations and detect issues early.
• Assist with non-CNC tasks as needed.
• Maintain safe work practices per OSHA standards.

Hours:

Hours: (full-time, 40 hrs/wk) M-Th, 8 am – 5 pm | Fr, 8 am – 2:30 pm (regular OT expected included weekends as needed)

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $23 - $30

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Moves workpieces on to work tables either manually or with vacuum lift
• Controls automatic tool changes and performs manual tool changes as necessary on CNC Routers
• Verifies conformance of milled work to specifications using visual inspection and measuring instruments
• Studies milling instructions, job orders, and shop drawings to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequences of operations, setups, and tooling requirements
• Selects and sets cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools according to milling instructions and material knowledge
• Observes CNC machine operations to detect any problems
• Assists with related non-CNC work tasks as necessary
• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with OSHA industry standards

Necessary Skills:

• Ability to use basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to solve problems as well as a working knowledge of fractions, decimals, and standard-to-metric conversions
• Ability to watch gauges, dials, screens, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
• Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
• Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate

Physical Requirements:

• Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position
• Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, inspect, or assemble objects
• Controlled Precision - The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the settings/controls of a machine to exact positions
• Near Vision - The ability to identify details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
• Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
• Maintain Stationary Position – The ability to stand continuously for up to 2 hours at a time on a regular basis
• Heavy Lifting – The ability to lift up to 51lbs frequently and repeatedly

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, and loud noises. Employees are always required to wear PPE while on the manufacturing floor.
