Job summary

Acumed LLC is seeking a Milling Machinist to set up and operate 3- and 5-axis Mills, ensuring proper loading/unloading and adherence to SOPs. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork to produce precision parts.

Weekend shift Friday–Sunday, 4:30am–5:00pm, with responsibilities including machine monitoring, quality checks, and maintenance as needed. Equal opportunity employer and eligible for accommodation requests.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related Acumed experience or 3-5 years external experience.
• Completion of Tooling U or enrollment in machining classes.
• Mastery of Level 1 competencies on Acumed Machinist Career Ladder and Qualifications.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Basic math skills and English literacy for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operates production machine tools to maintain quality, cost and delivery.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Visually inspects surfaces for flaws and smoothness.
• Performs general set-ups to maximize utilization.
• Remains compliant with safety and housekeeping standards.
