Asphalt Milling Machine Groundperson

Responsibilities and abilities required for the position include:

• Work safely.
• Alert operator or others in the work area of unsafe conditions.
• Maintain constant communication with the operator.
• Control machine cutting depths to mill asphalt or concrete smoothly.
• Walk with the machine to monitor the milling area and mark out/communicate any obstructions to the operator.
• Assist with directing trucks as they are being loaded.
• Assist operator with daily checks, fueling, greasing, and changing teeth as needed.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Lift and carry 50 lbs for short distances.
• Be proficient in Wirtgen Level Pro gradient control and different grade control.
• Work in hot and cold environments.
