Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Milling Machine Machinist – Level 3 to operate CNC equipment and machine parts to tight tolerances at Promontory, UT. The role requires 8+ years on 3‑Axis machines and NC programming experience; Mastercam and Vericut are preferred.

Willingness to obtain a Secret clearance and work 4/10 with overtime is essential. Responsibilities include in-process inspections, tool/machining readiness, and mentoring others.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related education and/or experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• 8+ years experience on 3‑Axis CNC machines; 4‑ and 5‑Axis a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of NC programming experience; Mastercam preferred.
• Experience with Vericut or other simulation software a plus.
• Experience with Renishaw machine probing cycles.
• Knowledge of workflow databases; Teamcenter experience preferred.
• Experience running manual machines and performing set‑ups.
• OSD and/or Fanuc Controller experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret production specifications, diagrams, and drawings.
• Expertise in GD&T.
• Ability to follow written set‑up instructions and perform unique set‑ups.
• Resolve unforeseen issues during machining.
• Perform complex measurements and advanced shop‑math calculations.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Fabricate components with non‑routine set‑ups and tight tolerances.

Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $62,700.00-$104,500.00
