Job summary

Simmons Foods Inc. is seeking a Mill Utility Services Mid Shift employee in Decatur, AR to maintain the facility and grounds in compliance with USDA and regulatory requirements.

The role involves cleaning, trash removal, and housekeeping across warehouse and yard areas during the mid shift, with teamwork and adherence to BEST practices. You will participate in ongoing team development, follow company operating systems, and support efficient mill operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience in poultry or food processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility and grounds per the facility manager, company, USDA, and all local, state, or federal requirements.
• Remove empty ingredient bags and other trash from the warehouse; sweep floors and keep areas around ramps, dumpsters, and equipment clean.
• Keep yard, driveways, and grounds neat; fill tire ruts and remove weeds; sweep bin deck and distributor areas.
• Participate as a team member; support BEST practices; attend team meetings and help resolve issues with the team leader.
• Perform regular housekeeping to minimize dust and spider webs; work across mill areas as needed, including safety compliance.
• Be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds; work in temperature extremes and outdoors; climb ladders as required.
