Job summary

AA Metals, Inc. is seeking a Mill Operator for our Williamsport, PA facility. This on-site role focuses on safe operation of the aluminum rolling mill, handling coil-to-coil processing and meeting safety and productivity goals.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and manufacturing experience; willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts; and a proven track record of reliability, accuracy, and teamwork. We offer PTO, holidays, health insurance, and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a mill operator or similar in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform conversions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain records.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate rolling mill(s) per safety protocols and SOPs.
• Change rolls and assist with roll changes and threading.
• Monitor production for efficiency and quality.
• Inspect machinery and schedule maintenance as needed.
• Lubricate, clean and perform minor repairs on equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions with maintenance staff.
• Maintain production records and downtime/quality data.
• Collaborate with team to optimize processes.
• Adhere to safety regulations and participate in training.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Assist in writing/reviewing JSAs, improve procedures.
