Job Description

We are seeking Mill Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill/Mixer Operator, you will be responsible to:

• Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.
• Package finished product in various containers and apply labels.
• Clean and maintain machine to TPM Standards.
• Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities.
• Weigh-Up Batches: Shift auto and manual steps. Follow process order of addition.
• Mix Batch: Discharge pigment and operate mixer safely; follow and adhere to all INX Mixer SOP's.
• Hockmeyer mill operation: Run and maintain optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards.
• Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas including processing times.
• Canning.
• Operate the following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift.
• To act as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Help with repacks.

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

• Have a high school diploma or (GED) desired;
• Have 3 months of work-related experience;
• Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills;
• Be reliable to work assigned shift;
• Be flexible to work overtime as required;
• Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background;
• Be able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams;
• Have good attendance and punctuality;
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

• Forklift experience, but we can train you;
• Mixing, Mill, and Pump filter industry background.
