Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a warehouse associate to maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the warehouse. You will load, unload, and move products manually, following safety guidelines, and operate in racks to ensure autocleaning production is maintained.

Responsibilities include counting and recording inventory, labeling and locating materials, and preparing orders without forklift use. Reading work orders and identifying products by labels are essential tasks to perform accurately.

Qualifications

• Entry level, no experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Must understand custom store fixture industry and receiving.
• Ability to clearly identify product from package labels.

Responsibilities

• Accurately count and record quantities for inventory transactions.
• Locate, label, and pick required materials from pick lists.
• Pack and prepare materials safely for shipping using manual methods (no forklift).
• Document inbound/outbound load conditions with a camera.
• Ensure proper labeling and up-to-date product numbers.
• Read and follow written pick lists.

Load, unload and move product and materials by hand, on carts, pallets, skid and pallet jacks following company Safety guidelines and best practices.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Accurately count and record quantities so proper inventory transactions can be made.
• Identify those materials moved match descriptions on associated documentation.
• Ensure that proper labelling disciplines are followed, and product numbers are up to date.
• Ensure that bulk packed materials are properly boxed, taped, wrapped, packed, banded, shrink wrapped or otherwise to ensure safe transportation without incurring damage.
• Locate, identify, label and pick required materials as identified on printed pick lists.
• Picking and pulling of daily orders without the use of a forklift.
• Use of a camera to document both inbound and outbound load conditions and quality issues.
• Ability to use basic hand tools for opening or closing crates and completing basic assembly tasks.
• Be able to read and understand written Pick lists, etc.
