Job summary

ContiTech, a unit of the Continental group, is seeking a Mill Operator to join its manufacturing team in the United States. You will be trained and work on unloading trucks, labeling materials, and supporting other operators on breaks.

The role requires reading standards, maintaining quality, and adhering to safety rules in a noisy environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma and some manufacturing experience; lifting up to 30 pounds and wearing PPE are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete training as required.
• Read and follow standards for unloading trucks.
• Read, understand, and maintain quality standards.
• Provide coverage for other Mill Operator, Strainer Operator, or Stockpiler during breaks.
• Operate and fill gas on fork trucks.
• Ensure materials are labelled/coded properly.
• Maintain housekeeping around the 1st floor per SOPs.
• May change shifts or work overtime.
• May perform other duties as required.

Job Description

• Will be required to complete training
• Read and follow standards for unloading trucks
• Ability to read, understand, and maintain quality standards
• Provide coverage for other Mill Operator, Strainer Operator, or Stockpiler while operators are on break
• Ability to operate and fill gas on fork trucks
• Ensure all materials are labelled/coded properly
• Maintain housekeeping around 1st floor as outlined in SOPs
• May be required to change shifts or work overtime.
• May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must wear steel-toe shoes, safety glasses and earplugs when in manufacturing area.
• Ability to work in a noisy environment and be exposed to low levels of carbon black dust, which may be dirty.
• Be aware of all safety regulations and the visibility of forklifts on the work floor.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must wear appropriate PPE for handling of various materials
