Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, is seeking a Cleanup Laborer to support mill cleanup efforts at Red Dog Mine. The role requires general housekeeping, waste management, and coordination with the Mill Shift Supervisor.

You will work within a safety-driven environment with MSHA and Red Dog EMS training, and participate in the two-week on-site / two-week off-site rotation. Join a large zinc mine operation with a focus on safe practices, teamwork, and outdoor work in Alaska’s climate.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Must wear PPE including hard hat, respirator, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protection.
• Demonstrates motivation, teamwork and ability to follow directions.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general housekeeping/cleanup of mill waste and scrap material during peak times; sweep floors and shovel dust and waste material/ore/concentrate; wash down buildings and protect critical equipment.
• Assist with organization of mill area as requested.
• Utilize small equipment such as a bobcat for larger spills/cleanups.
• Communicate effectively with operators, colleagues and supervisor about tasks and updates.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and comply with MSHA and Red Dog EMS training; conduct daily workplace inspections.
• Ensure compliance with policies and standard operating procedures and inform coworkers/visitors of them.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
