Kia VTAP is a full‑time, on‑site apprenticeship program in Westminster, CO designed for veterans. Participants will gain hands‑on vehicle repair experience, qualify for Kia Service Technician certification, and access tools, equipment, and training provided by Kia and participating retailers.

The program supports veterans through a structured, competency‑based yearlong pathway, with potential GI Bill housing assistance.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to complete drug screening and background checks is required.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests adhering to Kia and retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and communicate findings to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide timely services and coordinate with shop foreman and service advisor.

Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military veterans the opportunity to begin an inspiring career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. To support this Kia Retailer initiative, Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

Job Description

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components
• Complete repair orders and warranty request orders in accordance with established Kia and Retailer policies and procedures
• Test drive vehicles, and analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, special equipment, and tools
• Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs promptly, and communicate with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure an optimal customer experience
