Job summary

Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team serving military members and families at Joint Base Andrews Bolling, MD. The RDH performs a full range of hygiene services under supervision, with responsibilities including exams, periodontal care, prophylaxis, fluoride, records, and preventive programs.

Requirements include CODA-accredited education and at least 12 months of recent clinical RDH experience, BLS and radiography certifications, and local anesthesia

Qualifications

• Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from a CODA-accredited program.
• Minimum 12 months of full-time clinical RDH experience within 36 months.
• Proficiency in oral prophylaxis, radiographs, education, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care to diverse patient groups to support dental readiness.
• Complete examinations and document diagnoses and treatment plans with DTF staff.
• Examine oral cavity and refer abnormalities to dentist.
• Perform adult prophylaxis, scaling, polishing, and sealants.
• Administer topical fluoride and desensitizing agents.
• Maintain dental records per clinic procedures.
• Participate in preventive dentistry programs and chart audits.
