Job summary

Magellan Federal in Casper, WY seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver comprehensive counseling to service members and their families at military installations. You will educate on budgeting, debt, and savings, and run workshops to support financial wellbeing.

You will coordinate with DoD requirements, provide referrals, and utilize virtual or in-person formats as needed, while upholding program scope and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English.
• May be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must obtain Tier 2 background investigation.
• Must meet OCI disclosure requirements and DoD standards.
• Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), CFP, or ChFC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling to service members and families at military installations.
• Develop and deliver financial education materials and workshops.
• Coordinate with POC and media to ensure program scope and needs are met.
• Offer referrals and use virtual or web-based counseling when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with DoD policies and security requirements.
