Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (HII) Mission Technologies seeks a Military Operations Analyst 4 to support Large Force Exercise operations across the range complex.

You will interface with Government personnel, lead contractor teams, and ensure comprehensive planning, execution, and post‑mission analysis for complex missions. Role requires experience in military aviation/LFE, coordination of live/virtual/constructive training, briefings to senior audiences, and an active Top Secret

Qualifications

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD; or 13 years with HS.
• Extensive background in military aviation, range operations, or Large Force Exercise support.
• Experience coordinating live, virtual, and constructive training missions.
• Experience leading or directing contractor or military personnel in an operational training environment.
• Ability to liaise with Government personnel and multi-agency participants for complex trainings.
• Strong knowledge of mission scenario development and Fleet training coordination.
• Ability to prepare and deliver professional briefings to military and Government audiences, including VIP presentations.
• Active Top Secret clearance; eligible for TS/SCI; valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supports Large force Exercise (LFE) operations per contract requirements.
• Directs contractor personnel directly or via supervisors.
• Act as point of contact for Government operations on all range functions supporting LFE.
• Coordinate mission support from scenario development to live/virtual/constructive operations and post-mission debriefs.
• Develop, produce, and update training aids and materials for mission planning with aircrew familiarization.
• Coordinate training operations with agencies participating in the range complex.
• Ensure contractual compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Attend pre-mission conferences and prepare range availability/scheduling reports.
• Develop and present capability briefs to military and Government audiences, including VIPs.
• Provide equipment operator training for on-site personnel and conduct demonstrations.
• Support multiple government agencies in live/virtual/constructed missions and fleet exercises.
• Distribute mission scenarios and updates rapidly and effectively.
• Provide post-mission debriefings and lessons learned; participate in data reduction.
• Represents the contractor on contract matters related to LFE operations; meet with Government as requested.

Who We Are

The Military Operations Analyst 4 supports Large Force Exercise (LFE) operations across the range complex in accordance with contract requirements. This role serves as a primary interface with Government operations personnel and ensures comprehensive mission support from initial scenario development through live/virtual/constructive execution and post-mission analysis. The analyst provides leadership to contractor personnel, coordinates multi-agency training activities, and ensures the effective planning, execution, and evaluation of complex missions.

What You Will Do

• Supports Large force Exercise (LFE) operations in accordance with contract requirements.
• Directs the work of contractor personnel directly or through supervisors.
• Point of contact for Government operations personnel on all range functions supporting LFE.
• Coordinates all mission support from mission scenario development to live/virtual/constructive operational support to post-mission debrief and evaluation.
• Responsible for development, production, and continuous update of written, photographic, and recordable training aids and materials for mission planning; familiarization of aircrew with range capabilities, assets, and operational procedures with detailed debriefings.
• Supports planning and coordination for agencies participating in or supporting training operations on the range complex.
• Complies with contract requirements and takes action when necessary to correct deficiencies.
• Attends pre-mission conferences for users and support groups.
• Prepares reports of range availability/scheduling/utilization.
• Develops and presents briefings on capability, operation, and requirements to military and government agencies, to include VIP presentations.
• Provides for equipment operator training for RTO and other on-site personnel in operation of display consoles.
• Conducts equipment demonstrations for authorized personnel. Performs RTO functions when user RTOs are not available.
• Supports multiple government agencies in conducting live missions/virtual missions/constructed missions, which includes assistance with developing training scenarios, coordination of Fleet exercises, coordinating integrated air defense system functions, and their implementation.
• Implements and administers effective, rapid, and comprehensive method of distributing mission scenarios and updates.
• Provides feedback on mission results such as kills, and EW countermeasures effectiveness.
• Provides post-mission debriefings.
• Ensures mission data reduction support is provided.
• Develops lessons learned.
• Represents contractor on contract matters relating to LFE operations of the range.
• Meets with the Government as requested.
• Supports Government-sponsored meetings, briefings, and reviews as required.
• Ensures coordination and cooperation with other contractors/Government agencies.
• Coordinates range scheduling with the Government representatives.
• Uses IEMS in support of contractual requirements.

What You Must Have

• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Candidate must have extensive background in military aviation, range operations, or Large Force Exercise (LFE) support.
• Candidate must have experience coordinating and executing live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training missions.
• Candidate must have experience leading, supervising, or directing contractor or military personnel in an operational training environment.
• Candidate must have the ability to serve as primary liaison with Government personnel and multi-agency participants in support of complex training operations.
• Candidate must have strong knowledge of mission scenario development, integrated air defense system operations, and Fleet training coordination.
• Candidate must have the ability to develop, produce, and update training materials, mission planning aids, and post-mission documentation.
• Candidate must have experience conducting detailed mission debriefings, mission data reduction, and lessons-learned development.
• Candidate must have the ability to prepare and deliver professional briefings to military and Government audiences, including VIP-level presentations.
• Candidate must have experience preparing and analyzing range scheduling, utilization, and availability reports.
• Candidate must have strong organizational skills with the ability to ensure contract compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Candidate must have an Active Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for a TS/SCI.
• Candidate must possess a vaild state Drivers License.
