Job summary

The United States Air Force Reserve Command seeks a Human Resources Specialist (Military/Information Systems) to manage the Personnel Data System (PDS) and advise commanders on personnel systems programs.

This Air Reserve Technician (ART) position offers federal civil service benefits and may require evening/weekend work or shift options. Training and support across PDS processes are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience: at least one year at the next lower grade GS‑09 (or equivalent) in HR management, personnel readiness, system integration, IT security, or project management.
• Knowledge of military personnel policies, PDS applications, data analysis, communication, civilian personnel guidelines, and labor agreements.
• Ability to analyze data and communicate effectively with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Personnel Systems Manager (PSM) and direct the management of the Personnel Data System (PDS).
• Plan, direct, and control all aspects of the various Personnel Data Systems.
• Provide PDS customers with assistance and training.
• Provide military personnel advisory services to commanders and staff on all personnel systems programs.
