Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Physician Assistants to join as independent contractors serving military service members in California. Most work occurs on weekends with occasional weekday shifts, across fixed clinics and mobile/telemedicine deployment models.

The role covers health readiness assessments, documentation, and collaboration with supervising physicians. CA licensure, CPR/BLS, and prior primary/occupational health experience are preferred; travel to remote installations may be required.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in the state of California or eligible.
• CPR/BLS Certification current.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care, or occupational health preferred.
• Ability to travel and work weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support physical health assessments for military personnel.
• Review health history, service records and medical questionnaires.
• Interview service members to identify current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify urgent concerns including behavioral health needs.
• Document interview results in readiness classifications in medical records.
