Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services at Maxwell Air Force Base seeks a full-time Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to support military families. The DAVA provides case management, advocacy, and collaboration within the Family Advocacy Program to ensure victim services.

The role involves coordinating with FAP clinicians, assisting with emergency resources, court and medical appointments, and contributing to prevention activities while upholding equal employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Must obtain Basic Advocate credential with Comprehensive Intervention Specialist designation within 6 months.
• Minimum of two years of advocacy experience in domestic abuse or sexual assault cases.

Responsibilities

• Case management of each victim in services, including assessment, care coordination, advocacy, monitoring, documentation, and planning.
• Provide victims information on identified needs (shelter, housing, childcare, legal, medical, etc.).
• Offer follow-up services to empower victims and assist in decision-making with referrals to resources.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings and coordinate with FAP clinicians to stay informed on cases.
• Accompany victims to appointments or court proceedings as requested; transport support if approved.
• Serve as liaison to base agencies and support system advocacy, education, and public awareness.
