Job summary

Summit BHC is seeking a Milieu Manager for St. Joseph Institute for Addiction in Port Matilda, PA. You will lead the milieu, supervise BHA staff, and collaborate with nursing to manage client care in a therapeutic community.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily programming, ensuring safety, training staff, and maintaining accurate records. A Bachelor’s in behavioral health and 5+ years in the field are required; CPR/de-escalation training is also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral health and related field required.
• Five or more years’ experience in a behavioral health environment required.
• Understands common psychiatric disorders and dual diagnosis and treatment modalities.
• Exceptional knowledge of and skills in verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the units to ensure clinical aspects meet all regulatory requirements and client safety.
• Provides information to the charge nurse to assist in treatment plan development and revision.
• Assists management in program strategy development and implementation.
• Monitors daily programming and ensures client orientation and safety.
• Collaborates with leaders to identify and address priority issues and plan staffing contingencies.
• Communicates clear expectations, schedules, and timelines to staff.
• Maintains staffing coverage and unit schedules to meet client census and reduce overtime.
• Ensures accurate documentation of client information and progress.
• Provides onboarding, supervision, training, and coaching of BHAs.
