Job summary

ERC Pathlight in the United States seeks a Milieu Coordinator to facilitate therapeutic groups, monitor meals, and provide milieu support within Inpatient/Residential and Partial Hospitalization programs. The role may require on-call shifts to meet patient needs and ensure safety.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field and at least 6 months of behavioral health experience; MC II candidates may have 18+ months experience or a graduate degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field is required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in behavioral health or related field is required.
• Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board is preferred for MC II.

What you’ll be doing:

Schedule: Full‑Time, Monday - Friday, 4 shifts per week

The Milieu Coordinator (MC I, MC II) facilitates therapeutic groups based on core curriculum. Provides meal monitoring and meal support. Offers milieu support, de-escalation and behavior coaching to patients in Inpatient/Residential and Partial Hospitalization programs. The MC may be required to work on-call shifts based on business needs, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Facilitates curriculum-based groups
• Provides meal monitoring and support
• Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations
• Provides support to Milieu including the following:

• De-escalation and crisis management
• Bathroom monitoring
• Monitoring outside breaks
• Conducts self-harm and suicide assessment
• Support morning routine in IP/Res programs
• Collect weights, vitals and urine in some settings
• Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends. Will lead more advanced groups (MC II)

Milieu Coordinator I (MC I) must haves:

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field (Required)
• Minimum 6 months of experience in behavioral health or related field (Required)

Milieu Coordinator II (MC II) must haves:

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field (Required)
• Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (Required‑waived with relevant master's degree)
• Graduate degree in mental health or related degree program (Preferred)
• Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board (Preferred)
• 1+ year facilitating groups (Preferred)
