Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice or related mental health field; one year experience working with troubled youth.
• High School diploma and four years’ experience may be substituted where allowed by contracting authority.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Certified in CPR, First Aid and Handle With Care.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support Unit Managers in training employees and managing shift schedules.
• Proactively support Specialists on the units in situations of acuity, crisis or other unit issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures through supervision and examination of unit activity/workflow.
• Ensure rights of clients and families are respected and protected per facility goals.
• May be required to physically restrain clients using authorized hold procedures as a last resort for protection of residents and staff.

Foundations for living is a residential treatment center in Mansfield, Ohio, for youths aged 10-17. Our 84-bed facility is licensed to provide treatment for mental health and substance use disorders, including dependence. Through individualized support and evidence-based programming, we are committed to helping youth build stability, resilience, and hope for the future.

Our residential treatment facility is seeking a compassionate and dedicated milieu Coordinator to support at-risk youth receiving services for mental health, substance use, and trauma. The Milieu Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of the facility by monitoring unit activity, ensuring adherence to the daily programming schedule, supporting direct care staff, and following all facility policies and procedures. This position is essential in helping create and maintain a therapeutic environment aligned with the facility’s mission: to provide a safe space where residents feel empowered to heal from past experiences and build a foundation of hope for the future.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Requirements
