Job summary

Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for the Central Region (IL, IN, KY, TN, AL) to engage with thought leaders and investigators, exchange scientific insights, and support clinical research across Neurology and related therapies.

The role requires 2–3 years of MSL experience with migraine/headache focus, exceptional communication, and the ability to travel 50–70% within the Central US territory. Doctoral-level education is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years related MSL work experience required.
• Previous Migraine/Headache experience required. Neurology/Movement Disorders, Pain considered.
• Knowledge of Migraine/Headache customer segments and market dynamics.
• Excellent planning, presentation, written and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain credible and scientific relationships with top experts in the field.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to function on a cross-functional team.
• Demonstrated expertise in ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly.
• Knowledge of PhRMA, OIG, and other guidelines relating to compliant medical communications.
• Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences.
• Fundamental understanding of clinical research
• Excellent project management ability
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsThorough knowledge of regulatory environment
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Excellent collaboration skills
• Ability to travel (50-70%) based on size of geography.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with regional and national thought leaders and investigators.
• Demonstrate deep scientific expertise on Ipsen products and therapeutic area.
• Engage in scientific exchange about Ipsen's portfolio to gather insights.
• Assist with Company Sponsored Studies, including investigator/site identification, site initiation visits, education to support enrollment, and feedback on operational management.
• Coordinate with Medical Affairs to deliver accurate medical information and respond to questions.
• Represent Ipsen at conferences and medical meetings.
• Lead regional territory planning and train speakers on Ipsen's products.
• Travel to cover geography (50-70%).
