Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Welder for onsite work in Forest Park, GA. The role involves MIG welding on galvanized and carbon steel, reading blueprints and fabrication drawings, and fabricating steel components for curb unit production.

You will operate welding equipment, grinders, drills, saws, and related tools, while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to standards. The position requires 1–3 years of welding experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of welding experience preferred.
• Experience manufacturing HVAC rooftop curbs, sheet metal products, or structural steel components.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe footwear.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on galvanized steel, carbon steel, and sheet metal components used in steel curb unit production.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings.
• Fabricate, fit, align, and assemble steel components according to specifications.
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, drills, saws, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect welded assemblies for dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and compliance with standards.
