Job summary

Wastequip Steel Division in Albany, Oregon is seeking a Welder for our manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior production experience and the ability to read basic measurements.

This full-time role involves setting parts in jigs, tack welding, and welding along various angles. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–6 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read blue prints and measuring tape.
• Experience in a fast paced production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.
• Lay out, position, and tack welds on work pieces.
• Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.
• Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch and adjusts gas flow to obtain desired flame.
• Holds and guides torch to cut metal and inspects weld bead size and quality.
