PeopleReady Skilled Trades in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a skilled Welder for a full-time, temp-to-hire role. You will perform MIG and uphill welding on carbon steel, read blueprints, and fabricate gates, posts and brackets to exact specifications.

Ideal candidates have five or more years of welding and fabrication experience, operate a range of fabrication equipment, and uphold strict safety standards while delivering precise workmanship. Training and steady hours offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, uphill welding; carbon steel and solid core materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Experience operating a wide range of machinery and tools in a fabrication or maintenance environment.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment with attention to safety.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication Work: Create gates, posts, brackets, and other components to meet design specifications.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to guide fabrication and welding tasks.
• Maintenance Tasks: Perform general structural and mechanical maintenance to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of machines including press brake, plasma cutter, guillotine, lathe, mill, drill press, and welding equipment.
• Material Expertise: Work with carbon steel and solid core materials with precision and care.

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking a skilled and detail-orientedWelder to join our team in afull-time, temp-to-hire position in the Fredericksburg, VA area.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in the fabrication of various metal components, general structural and mechanical maintenance, and the operation of a variety of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication Work:Create gates, posts, brackets, and other components to meet design specifications.

• Physical Requirements:Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
• Safety Focus:Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.

The hourly rate for this position is $21-$25/hour.This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
